Prima Pasta Italian restaurant is a great place to eat. They have natural grape vines growing on the exterior of the restaurant creating a one-of-a-kind unique ambiance. There is outdoor sitting available in the patio and live music.
The food is authentic and made to order so do not go when you are in a rush. Good food takes time to be made.
There is homemade dessert and coffee. I recommend the chicken parmesan.

In 2009, after almost going out of business due to construction on Kirby Drive, right in front of Prima Pasta, he came up with a sign, advertising the Best Lasagna in Town for $5.99! After almost 5 years, it’s still the best Italian food in town!”

“If Mohamad Akbari (Cameron Basil) invited you over for an Italian dinner at his home, the menu would very likely be similar to the one you will find at Prima Pasta homestyle Italian Restaurant in Houston. Mr. Akbari puts his personal stamp on the restaurant’s authentic Italian dishes, and his family’s Italian favorites frequently find their way onto the menu!
An example of one of the favorite Italian dishes is Eggplant Parmesan – he peels the eggplant, adds bread crumbs and simmers the dish until the eggplant almost dissolves into the marinara sauce. Accompanying vegetables are first blanched briefly, then sauteed until very tender.
Some of these authentic dishes served are special to Mr. Akbari’s heart, as they remind him of very happy times growing up close to his brother’s restaurant.
Other menu favorites in the homestyle Italian food menu include the Chicken Marsala, Seafood Lasagna, Fettuccini Alfredo and Pasta Pesto.”
